Diamond should take this with ease imo. He needs to stick to his mindset and not get into a ego war and he should clean eddie quickly.

Spoiler there for Aldo vs Stephens fight... DC made an eyepoke...

Spoiler..............

Dirty dirty Alvarez... good job by Poirier. He looks great at 155. I still don't think he can get a belt.

Nice work by Goddard. Gave Alvarez every chance to fight back n stepped in as soon as he dropped. Stellar work
I'm kind of a big deal....

I do no get Alvarez, why that 12 - 6? Maybe it is time to go. I like the result, and those combinations and knees!

I knew Poirier would take it this time. Great fight and a great win for Poirier. Alvarez playing a bit dirty again but you play to win I guess. Ultimately the elbow led to his demise

Alvarez has some serious issues with his style. As an ufc caliber fighter he's average in all areas. He never dominates a fight, and if he wins, he wins barely, taking alot of damage in the process.

Some of the mistakes Alvarez make...He did a good job of defending the guillotine choke got dominate position then loses it to a foul he should know not to throw. Good job by Poirier of waiting for the opening then keeping the pressure on to finish the fight. I don't think he will be able to beat anyone ranked above him but be great to watch him try.

Round 2, 2:40 - 2:20 on the -clock looks like Eddie's not even squeezing hard at all.
Shit looked set up to me!  WWE style..

Coach Mark Henry says..  “I just feel people don’t know Eddie’s wrestling and jiu-jitsu is off the hook,”

Brown belt huh..  :like  then look like it!

Anywho, I bet on Poirier so Eddie's losing has nothing to do with what I see in this fight.

what did the ref say when dustin first went for that guillotine - seemed like it took away some of the attack

Eddie was hanging onto the fence the first guillotine attempt.

oh thanks, I thought maybe dustin had eddies glove or something and it got in the way of him really securing the choke

Eddie has elite boxing fundamentals, he slips puches and sets up counters as well as anyone in mma's history, his wrestling is above "average" mostly due to his athleticism and experience and his style works because he's otherwordly durable. Don't disrespect the underground king because he's starting fall off 15 years into his career, plus Poirier is a monster at lightweight
