I can't believe the ref let them stay on the ground so long in the second round, neither fighter was doing anything to advance position or go for a finish. Now Phil Brooks can tell his grand kiddies he went 3 and 1/16 rounds in the UFC at one point. I hope to not see him again, just to late in his time line to do anything to effectively improve. I know he has trained with the Gracies but showed none of that tonight, not sure it was fatigue or what but looked terrible when he had guard on Jackson.
I don't really want to see Jackson again honestly, not sure if it was a like or respect thing for Brooks but he didn't even seem to be trying in the fight at all. So many times he could of ended it but he just kind of lollygagged through the fight.
