Seemed fine to me. Hector was in the heat of the moment after catching the kick.
Bullshit decision.

Got to disagree with you guys. It’s understandable that Lombard followed through with his combo. Maybe he couldn’t pull the last punch, maybe he didn’t care too much. That said, it’s always that fighter’s responsibility to take care he doesn’t violate the rules. Same with strikes to the back of the head, knees to the grounded opponent etc. Lombard fucked up and gave CB a chance to pussy out of the fight as a winner.

I watched many times over and I agree with the judges.

Reason why is because Dollaway stopped fighting after the bell and also let his guard down.

I also noticed he seemed concussed because he kept asking what happened well after the fight was over.

Pretty simple really. If Lombard wouldn't have kept swinging after the bell Dollaway would have continued to fight and there wouldn't even need be a discussion.
When that rope starts to pull tight , you can feel the devil bite your ass!

No matter what we think or feels: Rules are rules.

The punch was after the buzzer and whether we like it or not the rules has to be followed. Why? because the rules are the same for everyone. Now whether it was intentionel or not does not matter in this case. If he had continued long, long after the buzzer it would have been a totally different matter.

I think it was a correct decision.
Some bad acting performance by Dolloway (soccer - european football foul exaggerating) after illegal punches, but ok, hit was hard and really rocked him. Perhaps this decision was made under the influence from Holm vs GDR and all the discussion that was made around it.
This should be a serious warning for similar attempts in the future.

The REF didn't stop the fight, he just held UP his hand!
He should have STOPPED the fighters, JUMPED in-between them!
Sure, it was maybe a second late after the bell while Lombard was swinging, but thats on the REF!
Maybe a warning or point... Surly not deserving of a DQ!
Sissy boy CB really taking advantage of the acting here...  !nosedrill

IMO the action had not stopped and Dolloway had not intentionally stopped protecting himself. About 10 seconds before, almost the exact same thing occurred. NC would have been the better decision. Reminds me of Aldo vs Mendes 2- although Mendes didn't leave with the belt did he?!

Lombard, 40, was disqualified after blasting Dollaway with a one-two combination after the bell sounded at the end of the first round.
Dollaway, 34, was badly hurt by the left hook and stumbled back to his corner in a daze, but ‘Lightning’ thinks ‘The Doberman’ was more than capable of continuing and suspects Dollaway milked the knockdown to sway the referee’s decision.
“It was in action,” Lombard said backstage at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, per MMA Junkie’s Ben Fowlkes and Ken Hathaway. “You know, we’re exchanging. He threw a kick, and I’m coming back. You’re in the fight. If the referee doesn’t get in and say (stop), but if you’re in action and you throw a kick, I follow through with one-two.… The referee didn’t step in and say anything.
“I always say he didn’t want to fight,” Lombard continued. “He didn’t want to continue. … We’re fighters. I’ve been in that situation before. You just get up. He was just talking and everything. (If) you want to continue the fight, you continue.”
