Illegal knee, elbow to the back of the head multiple times. I understand that in the heat of the moment the fighter can get careless but the ref should be able to see those type of things.

Well I think that was the difference between these two if Stephens lands it is likely the fight is going to end if Emmett not so much. I saw 3 illegal blows, the elbows I can see being let go as it was a moving opponent and Stephens was trying to finish. That knee that luckily just grazed Emmett I would not as it was obvious Emmett was down on both knees, Stephen actually paused then threw it causing Emmett to fall back. Who then received two more hard shots. There was no way Emmett could of continued so I would of at the least called it a no contest.
I hope Emmett is alright I think the doctor said something about a possible orbital fracture. I have no idea why he thought standing was the best strategy against Stephens but obviously wasn't the way to go.

Clear illegal knee... not sure, but the knee could have done that damage by the left eye of Emmett. I'm not sure that the knee just grazed the head. Stephens had him there, but he didn't play by the rules in that finishing attack. And it's not the first time that the UFC lets these things happen. Maybe it's better for the show, it is not OK.

WELL SAID, I ALSO NOTICED THAT...MAYBE THE REF SHOULD HAVE AN EARPIECE, SO HE CAN GET INFO FROM THE TV ABOUT THE INCIDENT...BEFORE THE KNEE EMMET TRIED TO STANDUP AND RECOVER

Two absolutely brutal elbows to the back of the head and a knee when Emmet was clearly down. That should've been a DQ, ruined an interesting fight.

It looks like the knee missed, but what the f**k was he thinking?

Look at the other angle, filmed from the middle of the cage. I would say the knee hit the head, and it was quite brutal.

I love Jeremy Stephens. He is at war on all of his fights.

Stupid move from Stephens as he most likely would've finished Emmet with legal strikes too.

The knee lands, no question about it. From this angle you can see Emmet's head react to the shot (best watch it with 0.25 speed)
