Cool how well Benny holds the pads, slow -mo shows that he doesn't anticipate and move before the strike, he holds honestly until Chuck actually hits the pads and THEN Benny moves loosely. Most people chicken out and move the pads before impact.

Amazing Benny can hold the pads with Chuck covered in baby oil.

While I respect Hollywood actors who are martial artists, I must say none of these people would last 1 round in a cage.

Chuck is from the pre MMA era when kick boxing was starting in the USA. He was a tough fighter. Don't discount his talent.

I don't discount his talent, he has been in karate tournaments, I've competed in both karate and MMA and they are a whole different animal, that is all I am saying

i think what david is saying is youre comparing two different eras. we all know things changed when mma started so youre kinda stating the obvious. chuck helped us get to where we are today. respect

what do you think of chuck's contributions to the martial arts world pre-mma?

i don't get why every strike he throws he drops his guard. surely having competed in full contact contests he must have learned to protect his head. i don't discredit his abilities but there are a few points of traditional martial arts that a thinking competitor/street fighter should change.
