Why does this thread exist?

More importantly, why is it on an MMA forum?

Why is this thread not locked yet?

Why isn't Sasori here laying down glorious Ban Hammers upon thee?

UFC gloves no doubt bro ! :mrgreen:
No,just joking...To be honest,first of all ask your trainer what kind of gloves they use,especially which size / padding.You can have MMA gloves from 4 Oz ( Usually not a sparring/training size ) until 16 Oz in form of boxing / Muay Thai gloves.
Oz = Ounce
So it is really not easy to give you an advice with no information about what exactly & how you train :) :wink:

Yeah, sorry for not giving any information. I don't actually have anyone that I'm training with at the moment, as I haven't actually started. I bought some Everlast MMA gloves but the padding on them looks pretty big, almost like boxing gloves. I'd like to get a smaller size though just for hitting pads.

The smalles size you should use on a bag is the competition glove with around 4Oz of padding.I have several from Fairtex ( Look at my av :wink: ),very very nice gloves ! Also their MMA sparring gloves FGV-15 are pretty cool ( but they have a bigger padding as well,cause they are sparrring gloves )
You can also check out the Hayabusa competition gloves,or the good old Harbinger ( Highly recommended ! )
But there are many other brands out there,just try some and check what you prefer :wink:

Fairtex, still the best sparring gloves imho, and for mma gloves as well (the fight version without thumb protection).

I can imagine Checo sitting idle at his computer for 1000 days thinking, "If I don't get an answer soon, I'll just go to the gym anyway."
