    Serious question though, how did he secure such a high paid first contract? Dude was unknown coming into the UFC and in a very similar position to Muslim Salikov who picked up a standard (and terrible) 10k/10k.

    Probably a fantastic agent or possibly had a contract from some other fighting organization offering similar terms.

    As always, the fighters who bring in the revenue get paid more (except Fitch - he should pay to bore us)...

    F'n shame that most fighters got less than $3000, even in the 2nd most popular mma org.  Imagine making it all the way to Bellator, training your ass off for 3+ months and only getting $1200, or $2400 if you win  :(  
      
    Pico (more hype/interest than Israel before his UFC fights) is getting 35K, so JM is right that Israel seems to be overpaid - but he pisses in the octagon and talks that talk...
