UFC heavyweight Mark Hunt has come forward to drop a few names for possible future opponents. Among them, “The Super Samoan” wants a shot at rising knockout artist Francis Ngannou.
Mark Hunt is currently looking to make his way back to the top of the heavyweight division after having a three round war with former champion Brock Lesnar overturned to a no contest and suffering a knockout loss to Alistair Overeem.
Since then, Hunt pulled himself back into the winning column with a TKO victory over Derrick Lewis. Now the fighter is set to face off against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 221.
That being said, Hunt already has his sights set on the future. In an interview with the Herald Sun, Hunt revealed which fighters are currently on his radar.
First making note of Francis Ngannou, Hunt stated:
“Anyone above me is fine, (Francis) Ngannou, Stipe (Miocic) … anyone. Any man’s beatable and I can beat anyone in the world, regardless of my s—t record. I want a shot at Fabricio (Werdum) and he wants the title shot, but if I can fight someone higher then hopefully I can fight for the title again.”
Francis Ngannou most recently suffered a failed shot at the UFC heavyweight title after being dealt a unanimous decision defeat to reigning champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 220.
Mark Hunt will be taking on Curtis Blaydes at UFC 221 on Feb. 10 inside the Perth Arena in Perth, Western Australia. The event will be featured live on pay-per-view.
"JUST WALK AWAY AND THERE WILL BE AN END TO THE HORROR"
Why not? More I think of this match up, better it seems to me. What a stand up war this can be. Ngannou's hipe is not so big anymore, so Dana can risk this fight. We'll see how Hunt vs Blades will end. If Hunt ko's him, I say let's go.

Yep, if Hunt beats Blaydes it seems like a reasonable option. It should of happened before the Stipe fight i reckon. Your right about how the risk for the UFC is gone now but not so much for Dana. Dana hates Mark and if Hunt KO's Francis, Dana will lose his new stars momentum completely and you know he's praying for a lesser known fighter like Blaydes to drive home that final coffin nail.
Anyway.. 3 rounds, no take downs, heavy hands... why not.
