I'll buy this when verified that the fighters don't move like robots again.

it's a videogame, you can't have 100% realistic natural movement and fluid action switching in something complex like an MMA game, without the controls feeling sluggish.

players have to be able to switch actions and movements with freedom of combining different moves and actions in rapid responsive times . Even with a AAA budget, no developer would be insane enough to try to emulate the 1000s of possible movement and action switching combinations the human body is capable of, just for the sake of making the movement looking 100% natural.
EA UFC 1 movement is still realistic while also being responsive. Responsiveness is just as important as natural movement. EA UFC games make all other games (including the realistic ones) move like cartoons compared to it.

it can be confirmed though that EA UFC 2 is advancing the animations a bit further, including some tech that was exclusive in fight night. it's really early in the industry and genre to be expecting a full range of movement that isn't "robotic".

I don't even see UFC 1's movement as robotic. it's still the most visually and technologially advanced MMA sim and fighting game to date. and UFC 2 can only surpass it.

This. There's a point of diminishing returns where trying to be too realistic backfires. Honestly, if you reach the point where you're like "fk, I wish my character could do this or do that" - well how about you go do it in irl then, seriously ppl find it easy to spend years perfecting techniques in a game, but ask them to hit the gym or go train irl, now what's the point in that...

My problem with undisputed 3 was that the purpose of moving in the game was pretty much only to meet the other fighter in the middle. There was no moving in and out cause the movement was just too stiff and slow. I didn't really mean the striking physics etc. I liked EA MMA better cause the movement was not so slow and the fighters werelighter on their feet. I'm no programmer and have no idea how hard it is to make an mma game where the fighters aren't glued to the ground. My point was just that in order for me to enjoy an mma game, it needs more fluidity in the basic movements.

I hope this game is more like Fight Night Champion. That's my favorite combat sports game of all time.

EA better light a fire under their site staff members, cause UFC 2 pages have 404 errors here and there,

https://www.easports.com/ufc/news/2015/knockout-gameplay

unless they are updating the pages, they shouldn't have errors. and the modes section is down too.

we did have some roster details earlier

http://gamingbolt.com/ea-sports-ufc-2-wiki

though they should start revealing the entire roster soon. there's over 250 playable fighters
